A VBAC Hospital Birth

Hi Dany,

I just wanted to let you know that I have given birth to a beautiful baby boy on Sunday 7th March and really feel that listening to your downloads helped.

I spoke with you only a few weeks ago when I was 36 weeks pregnant and after discussion purchased your home study programme. I listened to the mp3s every night and even sat at work listening to them. I didn't know if they were working as on a night I was falling asleep during them no matter how early I went up to bed.

I had a previous section and was particularly worried about the birth. At 38 weeks I was taken into hospital and induced due to a condition I had developed.

I was called into the hospital on the Saturday and told that I had to deliver on the Sunday. As you can imagine this only increased my anxiety. However when it came to it I decided to listen to the downloads. I could hear the midwife and my husband having a conversation and I sat there for a good couple of hours in silence only using the tens machine and gas and air. I came round and asked for a drink to which I had a really strong contraction.

I decided to ask for more pain relief however the midwife said she would have to examine me first. I was then told that I couldn't have any as the baby was going to be born soon.

One hour and thirty minutes later my beautiful boy Jamie came into the world.

Thank you and I will be recommending you to people. My heath visitor even asked me for details.

Thank you again and if we decide for baby number 3 I will definitely use this method again.

Clare Newton.
