So much more than the sessions you attend

Tums 2 Mums is all about supporting families as they grow and what you will find when you attend a session or course with me, whether it is for Fertility, Pregnancy, Birth or Beyond, is a professional yet relaxed atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. Clients can come with a lot of joy, others great fear, some unbearable sorrow or pure frustration and self doubt. All leave full of confidence with renewed hope and a new sense of excitement about their lives and the possible changes taking place within it. A bold statement you may say but woven throughout my site are lovely comments and stories written by clients that are illustrating this and I hope you enjoy taking some time to read through some of them.

I myself am a fun, down to earth, passionate and incredibly caring person who LOVES what I do and that can’t help but spill out when I am working with my clients. Although I should add that I am far from perfect and when a client once asked me “do you ever get stressed”, my reply was “of course but I always practice what I preach and I use the techniques you will be learning to help me calm down again” sometimes quicker than others ;-). I am a Hypnomummy that likes to take the mystery out of hypnosis helping you understand that everything I teach is how the mind works anyway, there is no magic, no look into my eyes, just simple uncomplicated fact. I often smile to myself when a client shares with me that her husband was relieved to find that I was ‘normal’ (though goodness knows what that means and I wonder “am I so ordinary” ;-)). My opening statement to dads on a HypnoBirthing® course is “I don’t mind if you are sitting there thinking what the bloomin heck has she dragged me to now”, I genuinely mean it because they never leave their first session feeling that way and the ripple of laughter it brings helps everyone to relax.

There is no 9am to 5pm day for me and I am happy to support my clients outside of their sessions/courses. This is an incredibly important thing for me to offer as a client worrying alone can have a detrimental affect on their treatment/learnings that may have a negative impact on their body and in turn their success. Often a quick chat on the phone or a caring email can bring them back to a more positive place. I was taught during my training not to get emotionally involved but how do you not when you are supporting a woman through their fertility treatment and they phone to tell you they are pregnant, on hearing a beautiful birth story, or seeing how those mums and babies are growing and learning together when they attend their infant massage classes.

Here at Tums 2 Mums we are also building a community of Hypnomummies and quite uniquely we have a monthly Hyp ‘n Happening Mums and Mums-to-be group which is free for all clients to attend. A great place to socialise with likeminded women (and the odd dad!). Couples are forming great friendships which is a wonderful thing to be a part of and I am lucky enough to have made some good friends myself too.

And on finding that some of our Hypnomums have changed career paths and were also working in the mummy and baby field I was inspired to introduce the Hypno Mumprenneur section of this site, a place to promote what they do and hopefully provide yet more wonderful services and products for Tums 2 Mums clients.
