Quickie Comments

Emma—short and sweet

This is a text that I've just received from one of my clients:

"Austin arrived at 22:34 on 6th. Midwife only just made it in time! Stage 2 - 9 mins, I woke at 21:30!" :-)

Jo Chandler—also wanted a different way of birthing her second child - attended private Hypno 4 Birth Sessions

This is a text that I received from Jo (she informed me that I was the 3rd person she contacted)

“HypnoBirthing Rocks!”

We then spoke later on that day and she told me that she had arrived at the hospital fully dilated and that the baby was born 10 MINS after she arrived.

Julie Fordhouse—a different way of birthing for my second child - attended private Hypno 4 Birth Sessions

Hi Dany,

Hope you are well, I thought I’d write to let you know our baby girl Alexssa was born on 22nd January, the birth was really quick and I only just made it to the hospital! I used the breathing and relaxation techniques and even had a sleep a few hours before she was born! I knew I was in labour that day but I was so relaxed at home I didn’t realise she was so close to being born, when we arrived at the hospital I still thought I had a few hours to go! I also relaxed and breathed through the contractions at the birthing  stage so didn’t even need to push and had no tears this time (which was what I was worried about after having a third degree tear with my first daughter). She was born in the afternoon and I was back at home by the evening.

Thanks so much for making this birth a much better experience!

Julie

Helen Fricker—mum to Daisy and George—another wonderful birth! - attended private Hypno 4 Birth Sessions

“Wanted to say a big thank you for HypnoBirthing® again!  It really helped me and the midwives couldn’t believe how strong my contractions were on the monitor when I was practically asleep during them!  Will tell all when I see you but really thanks so much.”

Eloise impresses the midwife

Hello fellow hypnobirthers,

I hope you are all well? I just wanted to let you know that our son, Noah was born yesterday at 4am, weighing 8lb 4oz.

The delivery was almost brilliant and the hypno techniques certainly helped loads, until he decided to look the wrong way and got a bit stuck, requiring ventouse assistance. Still, it was fine and the midwife was so impressed when I turned up at the hospital 8cm dilated!

Theresa and James finding the techniques useful during their C-Section

Hello Dany,

I hope you are well.
I'm just emailing to let you know that our baby girl Lauren Maria Cockram was born on the 3rd of July weighing six and a half pounds. Thanks very much for all the support that you gave us with our hypnobirthing classes. Lauren was in a breech position and was born by caesarean very early on Sunday morning. I was in labour for an hour or so before we could get into theatre and the hypnobirthing techniques that you taught really helped in what could otherwise have been quite a stressful situation.

Thanks very much.

Kind regards,

T

Anna - 19.5 hour natural drug free labour

Hi Dany, I just wanted to let you know that Alex and I have had a beautiful baby boy, Freddie Max Toynton. He weighed 7lb 13 and was born at the lovely new Pembury hospital where the staff were truly excellent. I am delighted to tell you we had a natural birth that we hoped for with little medical intervention and our midwife was very partial to a natural drug free labour. If it wasn't for the hypnobirthing breathing and visualisation techniques and Alex's incredible support throughout the labour I am sure I would have resorted to pain relief. It was a long labour and I won't pretend it wasn't hard (19.5 hours with 3.5 hours in the second stage) but I am so so pleased that Freddie arrived a happy and healthy baby on his own! We used the birthing pool until I was 9 cm dilated, unfortunately as Freddie "pooed" they wanted me out of the water to monitor him during the second stage. Although this wasn't part of our birth plan, I felt I remained in control and continued with breathing and visualisation to get me through it. At 10.24 am on Saturday 16 April 2011, Freddie was born. We were in our own wonderful room in hospital until Tuesday which gave our little family time to bond and me to rest and repair (as I had a second degree tear and am very sore!) Thank you Dany ever so much for giving us the knowledge reassurance and techniques to achieve a natural drug free birth for our gorgeous little baby.

With love and thanks, Anna x

Melissa - laughing between surges

Hi Dany,

Just thought I would let you know that Baby Curtis arrived at 10.20am on Valentines Day at home and I got my waterbirth. He was 9lb2 and remained calm throughout the labour and was so content and alert when born. I had a total of 3 midwives and 1 student attending by the time I did deliver and all commented on how calm and in control I was and how it was a lovely birth. I remember laughing and making jokes in between surges. It's funny I had visualised a morning birth.

I'll sit down and write a birth story soon.

Thanks for all your help, the techiniques really did help and I am very happy with the birth.

Speak soon

Melissa
